"Doorways." That's what Annita and Greg said symbolizes their relationship. Opening new doorways together is what they are setting out to do. Just looking at the smiles, laughter. intimacy, and joy on Annita & Greg's faces all day made me feel like I know them for decades, and warmed up this winter day in NYC. Surrounded by their families, children, and close friends, Annita & Greg eloped at city hall in New York on Christmas eve, and then made the cozy Aita in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn for a brunch reception. They went through a lot of doorways together that day. and will do so for the rest of their lives.
The intimate wedding reception in Brooklyn showed lots of love and personal touches. Annita created the flowers and designed the details all by herself. The simple yet elegant DIY designs added a beautiful feel to the brunch. The stunning winter-themed cake also perfectly tied the details together. As a Brooklyn NYC wedding photographer, these are the kind of weddings that we come out of feeling better about life, because we saw it at its best that day!
I have photographed in grand NYC wedding venues, as well as small intimate Brooklyn restaurants such as this one. It does not matter where your wedding takes places, what matters is how you spend the day, how you create those moments together, and how it shows who you are. Check these two out in this simple wedding, and perhaps take some inspiration for your own day when you feel you have a mountain of things to plan. Sometimes keeping it simple and intimate is best.
